LEWIS S. EISEN
Lewis Eisen specializes in training lawyers and judges across Canada and the United States to effectively utilize technology. He has been an independent computer trainer and consultant to the legal profession since 1987.
Eisen is the author of Technology in Practice: A Guide to Managing Computer Systems in the Law Office, 2nd Ed. (Thomson Professional Publishing), The Canadian Lawyer's Internet Guide, 3rd Ed. (Amicus Legal Publishing) and dozens of articles on law office technology. Mr. Eisen has also written the 'Net Beat' column for The Lawyers Weekly newspaper, and has been a regular contributor to the Canadian Bar Association's General Practitioner's Digest.
As a member of the Ontario Bar, Lewis Eisen practiced with the Toronto firm of Wexler, Fleet & Eisen. He served as the Office Systems Manager for the 100-lawyer firm of Campbell, Godfrey & Lewtas in Toronto and has coordinated and taught computer curricula in Canada and in the United States.
Mr. Eisen attended University of Toronto Law School, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1983. After practicing law in Toronto, he moved into the field of law office automation, and spent three years as the Director of the Law Society of Upper Canada's Computer Education Facility, where he coordinated and taught computer courses to lawyers across Ontario. Mr. Eisen is past President of the Canadian Society for the Advancement of Legal Technology.
