Gary Chester is a New Jersey attorney who has enjoyed a multi-faceted 36-year career. After becoming licensed in 1983, Gary split his time between the practice of law and reporting sports and sports law issues for WFAN Radio in New York, KMOX Radio in St. Louis and others. He has contributed legal analysis on sports issues to CNN, The New York Times, The Hartford Courant, The Miami Herald, The Sports Business Journal, ESPN Sportsticker, and others. Gary is a contributing writer to the Sports Litigation Alert, the premiere sports law newsletter. He tried a variety of civil cases, including sports negligence cases, for several insurance companies and for private clients before starting his own practice in 2014.

Gary teaches Business Law, Sports Law, The Law of Sports, Entertainment and Tourism, and Sports Ethics at Montclair State University, Ramapo College and Caldwell University in New Jersey. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York. His entertaining and dynamic continuing legal education seminars have been met with rave reviews across the country.
